What Is Hello Audio?

Hello Audio is a platform that allows you to turn any content into a private podcast feed. This means that instead of delivering a course, workshop, or membership only through video modules or PDF downloads, you can share it in audio format, which is perfect for busy people who want to learn on the go.

With just a few clicks, you can upload your audio (or even video files, which Hello Audio instantly converts to audio), add your description, and publish your private feed.

Your listeners can tune in using their favorite podcast app, such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or Overcast, or through a universal player that you can embed anywhere on your website.

Here’s the big differentiator: Hello Audio generates unique private RSS feeds for each subscriber, and those feeds continue working as long as your Hello Audio account remains active. Because of this level of detail, you can see exactly who is listening to what episode and even trigger automations to target those specific listeners.

Why I Love Hello Audio

1. So Easy to Set-Up and Use

No tech skills needed. You can:

  • Upload audio or video files (MP3, M4A, MP4, MOV, WAV, etc.)
  • Add your podcast cover art
  • Add descriptions and blurbs
  • Choose to release everything at once or drip episodes over time

I’ve been able to get workshops and membership content up and running in a matter of minutes, seriously!

2. Perfect for Different Types of Creators

Hello Audio works beautifully for:

  • Online courses
  • Memberships
  • Workshops
  • Audiobooks
  • Lead magnets
  • Summits and challenges, and more

Basically, if you can teach or share it, you can turn it into audio.

3. Great for Engagement

One of my favorite things? My students actually finish the material. They listen while commuting, running errands, or traveling, and many return to re-listen years later. That kind of retention is rare for online courses and content overall.

4. Extra Features That Matter

  • Expiring feeds → Control when and how long content is available
  • Stripe integration → Create sign-up pages and sell access directly via Hello Audio so no need for third-party setups
  • Community support → They have an active Facebook group, an accessible knowledge base, and responsive customer service

Things to Keep in Mind

While Hello Audio has a lot going for it, it isn’t perfect, and I want to be honest about the downsides.

Rising Costs: The pricing has increased significantly over the years. I eventually downgraded from their unlimited plan because at over $970+/year, I couldn’t justify the expense.

Promo Code Limitation: Their Stripe integration is handy for paywalling your content, but you can’t add promo codes at checkout, which is frustrating for running sales and promotions.

Teaching Your Audience: Private podcasts are still a new concept for some. I’ve had to walk my students through how to subscribe to a private feed, but once they learn, they love it.

Is Hello Audio Worth It?

If you’re wondering whether Hello Audio is worth it, here’s my honest take.

Unlike traditional podcast hosts, which don’t offer built-in private podcast feeds, Hello Audio makes setting up private podcasts easy.

That makes it a solid resource if you’re a coach, course creator, or service provider who wants to share content behind a paywall or as part of a program.

If you hate creating slides, want higher engagement, and want your coaching clients, students, or mentees to get results, this is a great alternative.

That said, Hello Audio isn’t your only option. Platforms like Captivate now include unlimited podcasts, even private feeds are included in their basic tier. Pricing starts at a reasonable rate, but it can climb quickly depending on your needs and audience size.

But where Hello Audio really shines is its simplicity, customer service, and community engagement. Their team is always adding new features, you can be up and running within a few minutes and your students actually consume your content.

While your audience doesn’t always have time to sit down and watch hours of video. They will listen on the go, while walking the dog, cooking dinner, or on their commute.

Overall, Hello Audio is an excellent choice for creators, educators, and service providers who want to deepen connections with their audience through a private podcast. If you’re tired of students not finishing your content or want an easier way to deliver it, Hello Audio is a game-changer.

Yes, the cost is something to consider carefully, but the benefits: higher engagement, more completions, and happier students—can make it well worth the investment.
